SnapCenter Oracle backup retention is failing on existing clone references

Issue

Error message:

Failed to delete backup as there are clone(s)created from this backup. Please delete clone(s) - <HOSTNAME>__<ORASID>__clone__####_MM-dd-YYYY_HH.mm.dd (Source Object - <ORASID>,Clone Object - <CLONE-ID>) before deleting backup.

These also show up when selecting the [Clones: #] section under [Backups: ##] in the backup overview of the database resource.
 
Trying to delete the Oracle clones from the GUI or from Powershell fails even when using the --force parameter.
