For Trident to reuse existing volumes in ONTAP, they must adhere to the following specific naming conventions:

  • For ontap-nas-economy: trident_qtree_pool_<storage-prefix>_<10 random characters>
  • For ontap-san-economy: trident_lun_pool_<storage-prefix>_<10 random characters>
