Issue

  • Changing certain ONTAP specific volume based parameters in the backend definition, does not change anything for existing PV Volumes created from that backend
  • When attempting to update Trident backend with new LIF IP's in order to migrate LIFs to new nodes, or change the prefix, the following error occurs in the logs: 
./tridentctl update backend san4 -f san4-setup/backend.json -n trident
Error: could not update backend san4: updating the data plane IP address isn't currently supported (400 Bad Request)
command terminated with exit code 1
