After restoring the etcd database, Trident plugin does not properly start

Issue

After restoring etcd database Trident does not properly boot with the error:

Liveness probe failed: Error: could not get backends: Trident initialization failed; error attempting to clean up volume customer_volume_name from backend trident_backend_name: error destroying volume : API status: failed, Reason: Volume name: The first character must be a letter or underscore., Code: 13001 (500 Internal Server Error)
