"ClusterIfIslDownWarn_Alert" reported after replacing cluster switches with a different model

Issue

  • ClusterIfIslDownWarn_Alert is reported in event logs for the ISL ports, when the cluster switches are being replaced by another model:
Thu Feb 03 18:50:33 -0800 [Node-1: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = ClusterIfIslDownWarn_Alert , Alerting Resource = Switch-sw01(FOCXXXXR1HA)/Ethernet1/31 raised by monitor ethernet-switch
Thu Feb 03 18:50:33 -0800 [Node-1: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = ClusterIfIslDownWarn_Alert , Alerting Resource = Switch-sw01(FOCXXXXR1HA)/Ethernet1/32 raised by monitor ethernet-switch
  • The alerts reported for the new set of cluster switches are cleared but the alerts for old switches are not cleared.
  • The output of system cluster-switch show command  reports 4 cluster switches instead of 2.
  • The output of the "device-discovery show" command confirms that the cluster ports are connected to the new cluster switches.
