LACP port down with partial status due to mismatched peer system IDs

  • Interface Groups (ifgrps)

Issue

  • One or more interfaces are not active in an ifgrp with LACP
  • ifconfig -v indicates multiple system IDs on different ports in the same ifgrp

Example:

  • The LACP peer is sending two different system IDs (AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF vs FF-EE-DD-CC-BB-AA)
  • Leaving only one interface in the ifgrp in the ACTIVE state
