  • High latency due to disk not evenly utilized in the aggregate
  • Volume level reallocations may be recommended by NetApp Technical Support at times to improve performance.
  • This article will go over the procedure for running a reallocate measure, to determine if a volume needs to be reallocated, and how to actually reallocate the volume if deemed necessary.

Notes:

  • FlexGroups will not support volume level reallocation even at constituent level and will display an error.
  • SnapMirror/SnapVault Destination volumes will not support volume level reallocation as it only works for Read-Write volumes.
