All Software is 100% dependent on the host operating system upon which the software is installed. This issue can negatively impact NetApp software upgrade, and installations, and even uninstalls if the files created by the installer surpasses the Windows 255 character file path name limit.

Although the root cause of the issue is due to a limitation that is imposed outside of the NetApp Software, the NetApp software can be negatively impacted if the file path name exceeds 255 characters on a Windows host operating system.
