Description

Root squashing is a security feature. NFS commands executed as the root user on the client will be considered as originating from the "anonymous" user.

Configuration of root squashing in clustered Data ONTAP is achieved via export policies and involves properly setting the values of "superuser" and "anounymous" fields in an export policy rule.
