CIFS authentication problem with NT Error (0x103) due to slow netlogon response

Issue

  • CIFS server tries to authenticate with domain user and receives STATUS_PENDING (NT Error 0x103) from Domain Controller (DC) server
  • ONTAP closes TCP session after timeout of 3 seconds
  • DC server responds to the Vserver after the timeout with Netlogon data
  • EMS Log :

Error: Ontap admin cifs authentication basic procedure failed (Retries: 2) **[  3263] Attempt 1 FAILURE: Unexpected state: Error 6776 at file:src/FrameWork/Socket.cpp func:ReceiveDataOnSocket line:1233 **[  3263] Attempt 1 FAILURE: Pass-through authentication request failed.
