Issue

  • Unable to delete offline volume in SnapMirror relationship
  • Attempting to delete the offline volume results in error:

Volume "volume_name" in Vserver "SVM_name" is the source endpoint of one or more SnapMirror relationships. Before you delete the volume, you must release the source information of the SnapMirror relationships using "snapmirror release".

  • Offline volume cannot be made online to release SnapMirror relationship
  • The typical SnapMirror release command fails because the volumes are offline:
Error: command failed: [Job <ID>] Job failed: Failed to get volume attributes for <vserver:volume>.
           (Volume is offline)
