Even though there is common snapshot, SnapMirror resync fails with error: No common snapshot copy found between source and destination volume

Issue

  • After creating or re-creating a SnapMirror, the following error is seen:

Error: command failed: No common Snapshot copy found between svm_dst:vol_dst and svm_src:vol_src.

dst_cluster::> snapmirror create -destination-path svm_src:vol_src -source-path svm_dst:vol_dst -type DP -schedule hourly
Operation succeeded: snapmirror create for the relationship with destination "svm_src:vol_src".
