  • Attempting to create a clone of a FlexGroup that is part of a SVM-DR relationship displays the message:

...cannot host a clone parent or child of a FlexGroup volume because the Vserver is part of an SVMDR relationship

  • ONTAP 9.9.1 added SVM Disaster Recovery (SVM-DR) support for FlexGroup volumes
  • It is not yet possible to create a clone of a FlexGroup volume that is part of a SVM-DR relationship
  • The ability to clone a FlexGroup volume that is part of a SVMDR relationship is planned for a future ONTAP release
