How to limit the privileges for SnapDrive with a role for an SVM account

Description

The current generation of SDW and SDU do not have built-in RBAC capabilities, though they have integration with ActiveIQ Unified Manager (formerly known as OnCommand Unified Manager or Datafabric Manager) for RBAC under 7-Mode ONTAP.

This article exists to overcome this limitation, and allow the creation of a user on a Data ONTAP SVM with minimum privileges required for SDW or SDU.

Note: the documentation of SDW and SDU does not provide a the required ONTAPI functionality for a more limited role in SVMs for SnapDrive's functionality to work.
