Issue

 

SnapCenter Plug-in for SQL Server (SCSQL) fails to restore database with filestream to alternate host due to the following error.
 

Failed to restore. Access to the path '<MOUNT_POINT_PATH>\<FILESTREAM_DIRECTORY_PATH>' is denied.

QL Server fails


SCSQL job log (SmSql_<JobID>.log) shows errors like the following example.


2019-11-18T01:42:09.9546717+00:00 DEBUG SmSql_120 PID=[10712] TID=[27] Checking if database [database] exists....
2019-11-18T01:42:09.9546717+00:00 DEBUG SmSql_120 PID=[10712] TID=[27] Update the target location of the database files
2019-11-18T01:42:09.9546717+00:00 DEBUG SmSql_120 PID=[10712] TID=[27] createClonedDatabase End
2019-11-18T01:42:09.9546717+00:00 ERROR SmSql_120 PID=[10712] TID=[27] Access to the path 'C:\scmnpt\mpdisk0004\FSG1\Test_FileStream' is denied.
2019-11-18T01:42:09.9546717+00:00 ERROR SmSql_120 PID=[10712] TID=[27] Failed to restore. Access to the path 'C:\scmnpt\mpdisk0004\FSG1\Test_FileStream' is denied.
