SCW fails to create shared disk on WSFC node other than cluster owner node

Applies to

  • SnapCenter Server 4.3 and earlier
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft Windows (SCW) 4.3 and earlier
  • Owner nodes of Cluster Group and Available Storage are different in Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC)

Issue

  • SCW fails to create shared disk with error "Failed - Failed to create windows file system Failed to create partition [ Error Code: 41000]".

  • SCWDebug.log of cluster owner node shows Error Code: 41000 in PartitionManager::CreateWindowsFileSystem.
