SCV backup job fails by "Unable to quiesce on SCV" due to VI SDK invoke exception

Issue

  • SCV backup job fails with message "Unable to quiesce on SCV".

Task 'Quiescing Applications' failed with error: Unable to quiesce on SCV: Exception occurred when quiescing virtual machines: <VM_NAME>.

  • vmcontrol_<JOB_ID>.log shows CreateSnapshot_Task detects exception "VI SDK invoke exception:java.net.SocketTimeoutException: connect timed out".
