AltaVault prepopulation fails after adding a new shelf -  data partition 100% full

Issue

  • After adding new shelves to a physical AltaVault appliance the old partitions filled up to 100% after using prepopulation from Cloud
  • Prepopulation fails with teh following message

Feb 17 05:01:28 localhost rfsd[49474]: [replication_mgr.ERR] (50551) failed to restore slab file 0x1f812aa0000 :no space on filesystem

  • New partitions on the new shelves were not used during prepopulation
