  • Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM)
  • All install types

Description

  • Best Practices - TR-4621 has a chart for the needed resources depending on the node count.
  • The chart has limits for each row, which changes depending on the node count.

WARNING

The values in the table below are the minimum needed resources.
You may need to allocate more resources depending on your environment behavior.
Netapp Technical Support team can help you identify if more resources are needed.
Avoiding adding enough resources will cause your system to become unstable.

  • The resource values in each row does not necessarily mean that the resources are enough to support the upper limit node count because the upper limit on each row is the same as the lower limit in the next row.
  • Please note there is a big change in the resources value between two consecutive rows, and keeping this in mind, the resources needs to be progressively increased as the node count increases.

Example:
  • To monitor 49 nodes, 60 GB RAM (fully reserved) is enough as per best practices, however, as the node count increases and gets closer to 72 nodes, the resources needs to progressively increase.
