Description

This Knowledge Article is designed to help you access the OnCommand Virtual Machine DIAG shell, as needed to proceed with executing action plans that are outlined specifically within NetApp Knowledge Base Articles. Changes that are made within the DIAG shell, that are not a part of NetApp Guidance, may result in the OnCommand Application NOT being supported by NetApp.

Caution: The changes made within the DIAG shell can result in data loss, and/or loss of functionality within the Virtual Appliance.
  • For this reason, a database backup and Virtual Machine snapshot are strongly encouraged prior to entering the DIAG shell. This practice will provide a 'known good' point in time to roll the Virtual Appliance back, in the event undesired affects result from the changes that are made.
