Answer

Yes, ONTAP volume is automatically resized by Astra Trident regardless of backend driver type for ONTAP.

Additional Information

  • The documentation of Astra Trident 22.04 or lower explains that ONTAP volume is not managed by Trident when resizing PVC using ontap-san-economy. But this is a documentation bug. Even if ontap-san-economy driver is used, ONTAP volume is resized as well as LUN when resizing PVC.
