After OpenShift and Trident upgrade, some PVs can't be properly accessed from pods

  • RedHat OpenShift Platform (OCP) 4.x
  • NetApp Astra Trident
  • xfs filesystem for the PVCs

Issue

  • Some PVs can't be properly accessed or mounted from pods.
  • Following error can be found in the Trident logs:

osutils.execCommand." command=mount error="exit status 32" output="mount:
/var/lib/kubelet/pods/XXXXXXXX-YYYY-ZZZZ-XXXX-ZZZZZZZZZZZ/volumes/kubernetes.io~csi/pvc-YYYYYYYY-ZZZZ-XXXX-YYYY-XXXX-YYYYYYYYYYYY/mount:
mount(2) system call failed: Structure needs cleaning.
