Filesystem issue leads to sensorReadingFailed and nodeoffline on SolidFire node

Issue

  • The below alert is detected in the beginning:

sensorReadingFailed IPMI diagnostics are currently unresponsive. Please contact support if this problem persists.

  • Then nodeoffline is detected and above alert is resolved:
nodeOffline The SolidFire Application cannot communicate with Storage node having node ID X.
unresponsiveService A master service is not responding.
driveFailed 12 drive(s) with state: "NodeOffline" driveID: xx, xx, xx, xx, xx, xx, xx, xx, xx, xx, xx, xx.
  • Other symptoms:
    • BMC web UI access has no problem
    • Node UI access is unavailable 
    • Drive remove reports error:  RemoveDrives Failed: cannot remove driveID xx - still associated with serviceID xx
    • Node console reports EXT4-fs related error:
