Why doesn't the vol move command auto complete when moving vol to current aggregate?

Answer

  • Typically, volumes cannot be moved to their current aggregate.
  • This type of move operation is only permitted when a volume is being moved for encryption purposes.
  • This is the reason that the command will not auto-complete when the destination aggregate is the same as the volumes current aggregate.
