Why does Tiebreaker not trigger a switchover if the cluster LIFs are offline?

Answer

  • If the cluster LIFs (intracluster) are offline the cluster will be out of quorum.
  • Tiebreaker will not trigger a switchover in this situation.

Note:
This does not apply to intercluster LIFs (IP connection between sites)
