Answer

  • If the local plex/shelf is online and the remote plex/shelf is offline then the remote cluster can be switched over using NSO to the local cluster.
  • If the local plex/shelf is online and the remote plex/shelf is offline then the local cluster cannot be switched over using NSO to the remote cluster.
  • If the local plex/shelf is offline and the remote plex/shelf is online then the remote cluster cannot be switched over using NSO to the local cluster.
  • If the local plex/shelf is offline and the remote plex/shelf is online then the local cluster can be switched over using NSO to the remote cluster.

Additional Information

Data will be served from the plex(es) at the alternate site, so a switchover is not necessary if there is a shelf failure.
