Brocade failed to check if device is from supported vendor after upgrade to FOS 9.1.x

Applies to

  • Fabric MetroCluster
  • Brocade FC switches upgraded from 9.0.x to 9.1.x
  • Switch monitoring is configured to use SNMPv2.

Issue

The Brocade switch cannot be added polled by SNMP or added to monitoring after upgrade to FOS 9.1.x when SNMPv2 is used:

Error: command failed: Internal error. Failed to add switch for monitoring on node "node01" in cluster "cluster01".
Reason: Failed to check if device located at "192.168.10.1" is from supported vendor. For further assistance,
contact technical support.
