ATTO bridge with firmware 2.96 unexpectedly reboots due to data abort exception

Issue

  • ATTO bridge reboots unexpectedly and the following messages are seen in event logs:

[Node-01: dsbridge_admin: bridge.removed:info]: FC-to-SAS bridge Broc-sansw1:8.126L0 [ATTO     FibreBridge7500N 2.96] S/N [FB7500N10XXXX] was removed.
[Node-01: dsbridge_admin: bridge.discovered:info]: FC-to-SAS bridge Broc-sansw1:8.126L0 [ATTO     FibreBridge7500N 2.96] S/N [FB7500N10XXXX] was discovered.
[Node-01: dsbridge_admin: bridge.rebooted:debug]: FC-to-SAS bridge Broc-sansw1:8.126L0 [ATTO     FibreBridge7500N 2.96] S/N [FB7500N10XXXX] was rebooted.
[Node-01: dsbridge_admin: callhome.bridge.reboot.unexp:alert]: Call home for Bridge Unexpected Reboot: FB7500N10XXXX

  • The ATTO event logs indicate data abort exception at the time of the reboot:
