What does 'ses.status.etherConn.warn' mean for NS224 shelves

Answer

The error can be ignored when:

  1. Reported during a takeover
  2. Ethernet links recover after giveback

Additional Information

  • During a reboot of a node the connected ethernet ports will go down.
  • This in noticed by the IO modules which are not aware of the expected link down so they report this to the Enclosure Services.
  • The enclosure services raise the alert to Ontap.
