WAFL is running low on memory due to unsupported 2nd flash cache card on FAS3240

Issue

Adding a 2nd 512GB flash cache card displays the following errors on FAS3240:

Wed Jan  6 18:07:10 CET [fil001@netapp01:replication.src.err:error]: SnapVault: source transfer from /vol/fil001_root/- to netapp05:/vol/fil001_root/root : memory limit reached.
Wed Jan  6 18:07:22 CET [fil001@netapp01:replication.src.err:error]: SnapVault: source transfer from /vol/fil001_data01/gemensam to netapp05:/vol/fil001_data01/gemensam : replication transfer failed to complete.
Wed Jan  6 18:07:45 CET [netapp01:wafl.memory.statusLowMemory:warning]: WAFL is running low on memory, with 43MB remaining.

 

It also causes a panic

WAFL hung. in process idle on release Data ONTAP 8.2.3P6
