Password recovery on 3132Q-V switch fails to save new password

Issue

  • During a datacenter maintenance the cluster hardware was moved to a different rack.  After the move we were unable to login to the remote management port of one of the cluster switches.
  • Attempted password recovery which completed, but after rebooting the switch the new password as not successfully saved and login failed again.
