Issue

  • AFF-A800 system panic with an unrecoverable error.

Example:

PANIC: Unrecoverable error(0x500000) in switch 111/8/0. in process thread taskq on release 9.7P4
  • "PCI-HIERARCHY.XML" in ASUP or "show pci -h" command shows the PCIe hierarchy.

Example:

LOADER-B*> show pci

111/8/0: PLX Technology product 0x9765 (PCI bridge, rev 0xb0) <---- PEX9765 Downstream Port Connected to NVMe Storage SSD

  • "EMS-LOG-FILE-PARTNER.GZ" in ASUP shows port 0n failed.

Example:

[node02: disk_server_0: disk.checksum.offlineAdapter:alert]: Adapter 0n taken offline due to checksum verification failure on multiple disks. Keep the adapter offline and contact Contact NetApp technical support. for assistance.
[node02: disk_server_0: callhome.hba.failed:EMERGENCY]: Call home for Write Verification Error: Port 0n Failed. Keep the adapter offline and contact NetApp technical support for assistance.
