Node removed out of quorum due to cluster network issues during data migration to new HA pair

Issue

  • Old original HA-pair configuration is temporarily changed from 2-node switchless cluster to a 4-node switched cluster by adding switches and a new HA pair (comprised of AFF A220 / FAS2750 / FAS2720)
  • During data migration from the old HA pair to the new HA pair, the cluster ports of the new HA pair behave erratically - flaps, gets disabled and ends with nodes being removed out of quorum
