Is there other way to avoid file collision than enabling the 64-bit file IDs when file count of a flexgroup exceed 2 billion?

No. The only solution to this question is reducing the current file count to less than 2 billion

Additional Information

  • Due to application limitation, the v3-64bit-identifiers configuration is not allowed in the storage system
  • The file count of a flexgroup already reached 2.3 billion
  • TR-4571 mentioned that there is file ID collision risk if v3-32bit-identifiers is used and the file count exceed 2 billion
