How to tell the difference between an X1139A adapter and an X1140A adapter in Data ONTAP

Description

  • When troubleshooting Dual 10G Ethernet Controller CNA SFP+ adapters, the hardware (per sysconfig -AC) does not properly identify the module part number.
  • An X1139A module might report as X1140A module which might lead to specifying an incorrect part number.
  • Both adapters will report the same way in sysconfig -AC:

sysconfig: slot 3 OK: X1140A: QLogic ISP 8112; Dual Ported 8152 FCoE CNA Adapter (PCIe)Copper

or

sysconfig: slot 3 OK: X1139A/X1140A: QLogic ISP 8112; Dual Ported 8152 FCoE CNA Adapter (PCIe)
