FCP adapter reports "fci.adapter.fabric.request.failed" error

Issue

  • Messages reports the following error.

Example:

Sun Nov 15 14:11:57 GMT [filer1:fci.adapter.fabric.login.failed:error]: Fibre Channel adapter 0f was unable to login with the fabric management server for reason 0x31.  
Sun Nov 15 14:13:16 GMT [filer1:fci.adapter.fabric.request.failed:error]: Fibre Channel adapter 0f returned unexpected status 0x4 for a fabric query.

 

  • Switch Port  shows ?? on sysconfig -a output.

Example:

   slot 0: FC Host Adapter 0f (QLogic 8324 rev. 2, N-port, )
