Applies to

  • ONTAP 9.4+
  • SVM-DR

Answer

  • In ONTAP 9.4 and later, XDP replaces DP as  the default relationship type for SVM-DR.
  • Type XDP SVM DR relationships separate both source and destination volumes size into two separate Entities.
  • Due to this, when source volume size increases, destination volume size remain the same, unless auto size feature activates.
