Issue

  • During a SnapMirror update, an alert appears in EMS:
Failed to disable the "storage efficiency" feature for volume [snapmirror destination volume] during a SnapMirror update. Reason: Operation is not configured.
  • In addition to the above message, the following message can be found in snapmirror_audit:
Failed to start transfer.(Replication operation failed because of error in dense subsystem)
  • Subsequent updates of the same SnapMirror relationship are successful.   
  • SnapMirror transfers associated with the errors are not hung or failed.
