Snapmirror resync fails when destination is Vault for a SnapLock Compliance

Issue

  • Snapshot restore was performed on the source resulting in a base snapshot deletion
  • The snapmirror resync from the destination to re-establish the replication will fail with the following error :
Last Transfer Error: SnapMirror resync is not supported from "vserver1:vol1" to "vserver2:vol1_cl" because this operation can result in data loss with a SnapLock Compliance Volume. In order to protect volume "vserver1:vol1", create a SnapMirror relationship with a newly provisioned DP volume or create a FlexClone copy of "vserver2:vol1_cl".
