Is it normal that SnapMirror resync transferred size is more than transferred snapshots delta size?

Answer

It is normal that the Total progress size for the amount of data for the SnapMirror resync operation may be more than the snapshot delta size, by using the command snapshot show-delta to calculate the delta size between Transfer snapshot and Newest Snapshot; as the SnapMirror resync operation needs to transfer the Data Warehouse metadata.

Example:

  • Use the command snapmirror show -instance to check the Total progress for the amount of data that has already been transferred for current SnapMirror resync

  • Use the command snapshot show-delta to calculate the delta size between the Transfer snapshot and Newest Snapshot for the total amount of data that needs to be transferred for current SnapMirror resync
