Answer

  • This parameter (-max-server-reqs) is used in a synchronous FPolicy configuration to specify the maximum number of outstanding screening requests to a given server from a single node in the cluster
    • The range for this value is 1 through 10000. 
    • Default value for -max-server-reqs
      • From ONTAP 9.1 to ONTAP 9.10.1 Default value is 50 
      • From ONTAP 9.11.1 Default value can be 500, 1000 or 2000 depending on the hardware platform.
        • 500  --> Low-end Platform (< 64 GB memory)
          1000 --> Mid-end Platform (>= 64 GB memory)
          2000 --> High-end Platform (>= 128 GB memory)
  • This parameter is not used in an asynchronous FPolicy configuration
