VScan engine not able to detect virus (EICAR) due to Microsoft defender

Issue

  • An infected (EICAR) file can be written on the CIFS share with vscan enabled without any issues
  • AVshim debug log shows that scan request was completed with VSENGINE_INTERNAL_ERROR_NOBLOCK
