  • Follow this guide to help take ownership and/or restore permissions to gain access NTFS files and/or folders

Examples:

  • Users not able to access the cifs path and don't have permissions on the path
  • No user is able to change/modify or take ownership of the file/folders.
  • Unable to access share due to file-level permission issue. 

WARNING

NetApp recommends using Security Tab in Windows Explorer to manage NTFS ACLs.
