DC connection fails with error "KRB5KDC_ERR_C_PRINCIPAL_UNKNOWN" causing CIFS issue

  • Users do not have access to CIFS shares
  • Logs show connection to domain controller using machine account fails with error KRB5KDC_ERR_C_PRINCIPAL_UNKNOWN:
