No, CIFS share properties are aspects of the share itself and uniformly apply to all users that access a given share.

Additional Information

  • If there are users that require access to the same location but with different share properties, a workaround may be to create a separate share connecting to the same path
  • From a new/separate share, you can set alternate share properties and/or an alternate share ACL as necessary in order to effectively accomplish certain users accessing the same location with different share properties
  • This is not disruptive to existing shares, but may require the relevant users connect to new shares
