CIFS Access Denied on RDP clients when "Restricted Admin" mode is enabled

Issue

  • CIFS clients receive Access Denied errors when attempting to access a share via a Windows RDP client where the RDP session was initiated with Restricted Admin mode enabled
  • When initiating the RDP session without Restricted Admin mode enabled, shares are fully accessible
  • Authentication may work after failing over to NTLM, but Kerberos authentication will always fail
