Issue

  • A cifs share writes failure with "not enough space" error
  • Access to the share may not be possible due to an internal error occuring: "The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error has occurred: An internal error occurred."

  • wafl.vol.full alert is observed in the event logs:
[wafl.vol.full:alert]:Insufficient space on volume volume_name@vserver:5ec757fa-f087-11e7-8501-00a098d12a7f to perform operation. 4.00KB was requested but only 1.00KB was available.
  • A packet trace on the node shows an internal error when the client tries to connect to the share:

11.22.33.22    11.22.33.444    SMB2 Tree Connect Response, Error: STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR
