Issue

  • The node storage disk detach command fails with the following error:

Reason: Disk "cluster01-01_5.vmdk" cannot be detached from node "cluster01-01". It is in use by "ONTAP". Can only detach disks that are broken, shared, spare, unassigned, or unknown.")>

  • Unable to identify and delete the affected disk as the output of node storage disk show on the ONTAP deploy appliance shows many disks with the same name.
