How to Change the IP address of Ontap Select Deploy VM

Description

  • Sometimes customers need to change the IP addresses on their Ontap Select Cluster and the underlying LIFs, and then notice a mailbox error in System Manager, which notifies them that their ONTAP Select cluster can no longer perform a takeover or giveback.

  • Since the ip address scheme cannot be edited for an existing Ontap Select Deploy utility after it has been implemented,  to workaround this issue, a backup of the existing Deploy VM needs to be created, and restored from backup to a new Deploy VM.
