StorageGRID appliance performance degrades after SANtricity OS upgrade to 11.70.4R1

  • NetApp StorageGRID
  • Appliance Platforms: SG5760 and SG6060 with one or more expansions trays
  • SANtricity OS 11.70.4R1
  • Storage RAID Mode: DDP16 (16+2 stripe)
    • In StorageGRID management interface, check under Nodes > Node_Name > Hardware

Issue

  • Following upgrade to SANtricity OS 11.70.4R1, some StorageGRID appliance configurations (listed above) may experience significant performance degradation.
  • A disk pool reconfiguration event is reported in events (Support > Events) and in major-event-log.txt support bundle file.
